Collie was enjoying the lecture it seemed. She was taking all sorts of notes down. I just stood there enjoying the nice day.
Violet came into the classroom with a note from the nurse. "Sorry I'm late. Had a small bug earlier this morning." She said giving Miss. Fyta her note.
I sighed as the class went back inside for more lecture before our next class. The bell rang and we all left. Collie and I went to PE and got dressed for swimming with Ms. Laurel. She had been my couch for swimming for awhile. But she was also the schools only PE teacher.
I saw that my best one piece swimsuit was gone. And a girl named Miranda wearing it. She smiled evilly at me. I just pulled out another one and made her face go red.
"You can never beat me O'Riley!" she hissed at me. I just smiled at her and got read for a nice swim in our school's indoor pool.
"Ok class today we're going to have a game day." Said Miss Laurel jumping in the pool. "I want everyone to play fair and have fun." She added before getting in herself. Everyone jumped in except me because I was a bit afraid of water. I had to slip in just for the grade.
Miss. Laurel was the nicest teacher I've known. She knew me through my mom and her were best friends as were Collie's mom and Violet's mom. I'm more close to Collie's mom than Violet's. But I'm still friends with her.
Collie really hated water and the teacher knew that because she really smelled odd afterwards. Like a wet dog. She was allowed by her mother to sit on the outside while they kids swam.
Collie sat there on the bleachers playing her PSP because she had no homework ever. Even though her and I were nearly late everyday. I swam around a bit in the pool enjoying the warm water.
Miranda and her "Gang" were playing water ball and thought it would be funny to toss it at me and which point they did and actually hit me.
"What the hell?! I was just swimming! What the heck is wrong with you!" I yelled at her.
The teacher just looked at my redden face and told Miranda to go to the office but she refused.
"You forget who my mother is Miss. Laurel. She can have you fired. Because you were mean to her daughter." Miranda said. It was true she was. But only by papers. Miss. Laurel didn't care who she was. She smiled and slipped out of the pool.
"Your mom can try. I've been with this school for over 15 years." She said crossing her legs and arms still smiling. Miranda's face almost went tomato red.
"This won't be the last you hear from me!" she yelled waving her fist and sounding like a moron. I laughed a bit rubbing my sore head. Violet swam up in her reddish purple swim suit unlike her normal yellow ones. One good thing about this school is it's mostly a girl's school.
"What's up with those girls?" she asked me adjusting her head gear she was supposed to wear because of the ball they used. I shrugged.
"I have no idea. But I'm glad she's gone…for now at least." I sighed happily.
I swam to the edge of the pool thinking of my dad. He was the one who tot me to swim. I had a lot of found memories of my dad before he was killed. They told my mom his body was never found. But all they found was his dog tags. Mom wouldn't come out of her room for a week. I had to stay at Collie's house for awhile until she got better.
I shoved my memories back in my head so I can work on my grade.
"Ok class its only 10 minutes till class gets. Time to shower." Said Miss Laurel getting out. I slipped out and headed for the shower room. I slipped out of my ice blue suit and dried off. Miranda and her gang came out.
"Little miss ass got out the easy way." She said. Kali the red head came up.
"Yeah we were winning no thanks to you! YOU JACK WAGGON!" she said yelling. I tried not to laugh at her as I started to put on my cloths. A black haired girl in a green suit came up.
"Come on girls. It was just a game." She said drying her hair. Another girl with fire red hair holding her light blue two-piece suit came up.
"I always think of it as competition." She smiled. The black haired girl was Marley. She was the book store's daughter. The fire red head was Clair. She was the schools top runner next to Collie.
"I don't care it was all Ravens fault we lost! What a bitch!" Miranda yelled at me. It shook me a bit. But I got up and closed my locker. When I looked at her I smiled as her face went bright red. Then she left.
"Pay no attention to her. She thinks she's all that just because her mom's the principle." Clair said.
I was waiting on the bell and one popular girl came up to me. She had snow white hair that was down to her shoulders and sweet blue eyes. She was Angel. She wore a black sweater with designer angel wings on the back. Even though it was June and a bit cold out still she wore white jean shorts with pure white socks and black dress shoes.
She tends to help people when their down. She was at my dad's funeral and her mom and her were good friends to us also. Their family seemed to help just about anyone. Her mom was the pasture of the church we had the funeral.
"Hey Raven how you doing?" She asked me.
"I'm going ok. Going to a friends tonight." I said putting on my shoes.
"Oh fun. Just wanted to check up on you. You know how my mom is sometimes." She joked with me. I smiled at her. She always seemed to be a good friend.
The bell rang again. "Finally Lunch!" I said throwing up my arms and running out of the room. Clair and Marley were impressed by my running out of the room as quickly as I did. I met up with Collie to go out for some nice good old Hibachi's grill.
